Everyone has secrets, but not everyone has remorse…

A terrible accident.

Meghan Michaels is trying to find balance between being a single mom and working full time as an ICU nurse, when a patient named Caitlin arrives in her ward with a traumatic brain injury. They say she jumped from a bridge and plunged over twenty feet to the train tracks below.

A shocking revelation.

When a witness comes forward with new details about Caitlin’s fall, it calls everything they know into question. Was a crime committed? Did someone actually push Caitlin, and if so, who... and why?

No one is safe.

Meghan lets herself get close to Caitlin until she’s deeply entangled in the mystery surrounding her. Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims...

“A tense, compelling thriller with completely gasp-worthy twists.” —Nita Prose, #1 bestselling author of The Maid

The plot is unbelievable. The book reaches for something it didn’t achieve.

I have read all of this authors books and each one is excellent. I couldn’t put this one down! Her artful plot twists are mesmerizing. I only hope she keeps the books coming.

An interesting story with lots of surprises and twists, but far too many words that I found myself skipping over. The ending was too ambiguous and implausible.
  • Just ok.

The anxiety and paranoia of the main character is a little contagious and made me feel a weird darkness! Which was FINE!! BUT…SO MUCH of this book was repetitive and Part 2 was both drawn out and rushed somehow. I skipped over MULTIPLE pages especially in Part 2. I finished in about 2 days because I needed to k ow what happened but also because I was annoyed with so much. ALSO, really bothered by all the typos. Most of any book I’ve read in a long time!

My Review: Enjoyed!!!!! Once I read the blurb I just knew I had to read this one. I’ve read this author before and she never disappoints. Whenever I pick up one of her books I swear I am right there with all the characters. I feel everything they feel. This is how a great book should make you feel. You should totally feel like your part of their story. So let’s talk characters. I really liked the main character, Meghan. There were so many reasons why and when you read this one you will get why I loved her so much. I have to say Meghan really made the book for me. The rest of the characters were awesome too and really fit the story line perfectly. With all that being said I really thought the plot was interesting and it kept me on my toes at all times. I read through this one so fast just so I could find out what happened next. Now that brings me to that shocking speechless ending. I couldn’t ask for a better one. It had everything I look for. It had so many twists that it made your head spin and it almost gave me a heart attack. What is better than that, nothing in my opinion. I can’t wait to read another book by this author. In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Do you need a page turner from the start? You won’t want to put this book down as this book draws you in and won’t let go until the end! Meghan is a divorced single mother working as an ICU nurse. Her work and personal life are equally demanding, especially raising a teenager. She also has to worry about the rise in crime close to her neighborhood and her high-school friend going through a domestic violence situation. Can she juggle it all and stay safe? Meghan is assigned to Caitlin, a patient who jumped off a bridge over a railroad track, where she is now fighting for her life. This hits close to home as Meghan’s sister died of suicide by jumping from a bridge. There is a man that visits Caitlin. When confronted, he quickly leaves. Caitlin’s father shares information and a voice mail he receives right before her suicide attempt. Is it what it seems? Was she pushed? Who is the man who visited Caitlin? Is he connected to her accident? Are people who they seem to be? I loved the plot and the unassuming characters that have secrets! The unexpected twists and turns will keep you guessing until the end. Just when you think you have figured it out, something else is revealed. I didn’t see the end coming! A perfect book to take on vacation where you can read for hours. Be sure to add this to your TBR list!
